Weekly Group Supervision for Clinicians in Fairbanks, Alaska
Clinical work in community mental health and agency settings asks a lot of you. This weekly reflective group gives you protected time to slow down, think about your work, and be supported by colleagues. The focus is curiosity and relational presence, not being right or wrong.
START HERE
A weekly space to think about the work
Every session follows the same simple rhythm, so you always know what to expect.
Check in with the sheet
We begin by reviewing the skills and practices sheet. You choose one skill or practice to attend to for yourself that day.
Share and reflect together
A clinician presents. The group listens with curiosity, attunement, and validation, keeping the presenter's experience at the center.
Bring more of yourself to your work
Together we work toward embodying these skills, so you can bring more of yourself into your sessions with clients.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF SUPERVISION
“ Our group is not about being right or wrong, perfectionism or evaluation. ”
Reflective, not evaluative
Reflective Group Supervision/Consultation (RGS/C) embraces curiosity and humility. The skills and practices we use create a reflective, emotionally attuned, and culturally humble environment, where learning happens through relational presence and awareness of self and other.
WHY CLINICIANS CHOOSE IT
Support that makes room for the person behind the clinician
Slow down the urge to fix
When you notice the pull to solve a problem, the group helps you turn toward curiosity and the emotions underneath the story.
Use yourself thoughtfully
Track your own thoughts, feelings, and sensations, and share what you are comfortable sharing. Your willingness to show your humanity encourages others to do the same.
Hold context and identity
Stay mindful of how social identities, lived experiences and multiple systems shape the work, with curiosity, humility and compassion.
THE MODEL
Seven skills and practices we work on together
Each week, you pick one to attend to for yourself. These are the practices that shape our group.
Actively use relationship skills
Active listening, curiosity, empathic attunement and validation shape every group interaction.
Deepen the affective experience and “felt sense”
Stay with the emotional experience of the person sharing, so they feel felt and seen.
Practice “being with”
Slow down, regulate yourself, come alongside the other person and reflect back what you hear.
Cultivate self-awareness and thoughtful use of self
Notice your own thoughts, feelings and sensations, and share what you are comfortable sharing.
Move toward curiosity and emotion, away from problem solving
When you feel the urge to fix, turn toward what is felt underneath the story.
Hold the impact of social identities and lived experiences in context
Stay mindful of how multiple systems shape experience, & approach differences with curiosity, humility
Encourage open exploration of feelings, thoughts, wishes and beliefs
Listen with empathy and attunement, while continuing to center the presenter’s experience.
